Important Tips for wearing a Face Mask
Wearing a face mask is mandatory in some settings and it is up to each and every one of us to remain vigilant and stay abreast of the latest government health advice in our state and territory as to where and when wearing a face mask is mandatory.
Whilst we maybe getting back to some level of normality across Australia and are seeing restrictions ease and mask wearing rules moderate in each state and territory. We all still need to remain alert that outbreaks are a very real possibility and can still occur at any given moment in the community.
Sustaining safe social distancing practices in daily life or wearing masks when safe social distancing can't be maintained are important considerations not to be ignored.
We still need to 'check in' to cafes and restaurants we frequent and businesses we visit and keep a face mask with us to be able to access one if we need it at any given time.
Rules can change so a proactive approach to prevention is key as we enter winter season.

If you do have to touch your face mask whilst wearing it, refrain from touching the mask on your face to avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth at all times. Adjust only by touching the straps and toggles. If you do have to touch your mask make sure you sanitise or wash your hands thoroughly before and after touching it.
Always wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water or use alcohol-based hand sanitiser with at least 60% alcohol.
When removing your face mask always do so away from other people where possible and store in a zip lock bag until you can wash it.
